Be part of something special and join our cheerleading family. Milford offers a cheerleading program for children 3-18 years old. Our participants learn sideline cheers, dance, stunting, tumbling and a competitive routine(s) all while gaining friendships with their new teammates. All our competitive participants have the opportunity to compete with the chance of moving on to Regionals, then Nationals in December. Milford has competed at the national level many times in the last 10 years. We have 7 National Championship wins, 1 Global Grand Championship and 1 Jamz Grand Championship

Our coaches are certified by YCADA (Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance) and participate in Coaches Clinics. Three coaches from every competitive roster attend the New England Coaches Clinic held once a year throughout New England. Each team roster has a coach certified in CPR training.

Practices for 2024 will be held at West Shore Recreation Center, 14 Benham Ave. Milford, CT.

The youngest team, the Junior Tiny Mites or Mini Mites practice 1 hour twice a week.  Tiny Mites and Mitey Mites, practice between 8-10 hours a week.  Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Varsity and Varsity- practice 10 hours a week.  This is the schedule from August 1st until Labor Day.   Practices are held between 5:30-9pm and are in/outdoors.

Practices are cancelled if temperatures are extremely hot. Sometimes we do adjust practice schedules depending on the weather.  Communication is through each teams BAND app as well as email.

Labor Day weekend we begin our sideline cheering at Football games and our practice time is reduced to 6 hours per week (weeks run Monday-Sunday per National Pop Warner Regulations).  Practice is usually 2 hours in the evenings and/or Saturday mornings. Each practice includes a warm up and stretching period, followed by stunting and tumbling on mats with a focus on perfecting the teams Competition routines.
